WEB ORDERS SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Connecticut Lighting Centers is known for its excellent customer service and we continue to provide this to you while you wait for your order to be shipped. At Connecticut Lighting Centers, we make sure to provide you with the safest, fastest and most reliable shipping methods.

 

Free Shipping* on orders over $99. *Our $99 and above free shipping promotion applies to most small- and medium- sized orders. Free shipping is non-applicable on discounted products. This does not apply to larger items that may require a freight carrier. Items shipped freight carrier are delivered to curbside or driveway only and may incur an over-sized item surcharge. We will notify you of any cost before a product is shipped via freight. The items that do ship for free will ship via Ground Carrier.

 

Sales Tax – we charge the state sales tax on all orders shipped to Connecticut and Massachusetts. For orders being shipped outside of Connecticut, you the customer, are aware and accept all responsibility to pay any required taxes within your own jurisdiction.

 

In Store Pickup – As a customer, you may purchase the item online and pick it up at one of our two Connecticut Lighting Centers showrooms. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after your order is placed and will include notation that we will be contacting you when your product(s) is available for pick up.

 

Small Parcel Shipping – all smaller, lighter items will ship via ground carrier. (FedEx, UPS, USPS)

LARGE, OVER-SIZED ITEMS TO BE SHIPPED:

1. Larger items, will ship via freight carrier. Items shipped freight carrier are delivered to curbside or driveway only and may incur an over-sized item surcharge.

 

2. Shipping cost will be determined by manufactures box dimensions and box weight.

 

3. Freight Carrier orders require that someone 18 years and older is available to accept the delivery.

 

4. Most carriers will contact you to set up a delivery time, usually a 2-4 hour appointment window during normal business hours. Monday thru Friday 8-5 p.m.

 

5. At the time of delivery, the driver will require that you inspect the condition of the shipment and sign the delivery receipt. Be sure to note on the receipt ANY and ALL visible damage to the packaging of your item(s). Noting the condition of the delivery is the responsibility of the customer – not the driver.

 

6. If the carrier is unable to contact the customer, the customer will then be responsible for any storage fees, freight charges back to the manufacturer in addition to the original shipment expenses.

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY

To ensure the safest and most convenient delivery, many large and fragile products can be delivered by White Glove freight carrier. If you wish to have such service, please contact Connecticut Lighting Centers at (860) 578-1948. Our web order customer service hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Extra charges will apply for White Glove Delivery. The product can be delivered inside your home and brought into the desired room. The product will be unpacked and disposed of all packaging. NO SETUP OF MERCHANDISE OR ELECTRICAL WORK WILL BE DONE BY THE SHIPPER.

SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS

When an order is placed and is being shipped you will be sent a confirmation email from Connecticut Lighting Centers confirming we have received your order. Once a tracking number is available, we will then e-mail it to your attention and you may track the product(s) here on after.  When an order is placed and shipped via Freight Carrier, you will be sent an auto confirmation email from Connecticut Lighting Centers confirming we have received your order. We will then contact you with a delivery date and estimated time of day.

 

We do not guarantee or promise delivery dates. Therefore, we request that our customers plan ahead and place timely orders that allow for both in-house and the transit time. Estimated times are not a guarantee. If you require expedited shipping, please call us at (860) 578-1948.

WEB ORDERS RETURN POLICY

 

At Connecticut Lighting Centers we strive to deliver excellent customer service. If you are not satisfied with the product(s) you purchased, we offer a 14 day return policy.

 

1. All returns are subject to a restocking fee. A Notification will be provided at the time of ordering if an item is not eligible for return.

 

2. Please inspect all merchandise upon receipt.

 

3. To process a web order return please call (860) 578-1948 or e-mail us at [email protected] within 3 business days and we will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization. Our web order customer service hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. All returned merchandise must be sent back with a Return Merchandise Authorization. Connecticut Lighting Centers will provide this to you through e–mail or fax after you call with information about the item you wish to return.

 

4. Returns will not be accepted beyond 14 days of receipt.

 

5. Items purchased online can be returned to any Connecticut Lighting Centers showroom at your expense within 14 days . Please bring your original order receipt.

 

6. Returnable items must arrive back in original condition. Products must be new, unused, unaltered, uninstalled, not previously laundered or assembled e.g. no cut or clipped wires, no contact with water.

 

7. No writing on the shipping carton and must include all original packaging and accessories.

 

8. Items that require buying in bulk/multiple quantities must be returned in the same quantity they were sold in.

 

9. Items that are returned without a Return Merchandise Authorization or are not in the same conditioned as received are not redeemable for credit.  

 

10. Please allow us 7-14 days from the receipt to issue a charge credit.

ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM RETURNS:  

1. Items marked and sold as Clearance or Final Sale are non-returnable.

 

2. Custom orders are non-cancellable and non-returnable.

 

3. We do not warranty or provide a return for a product that isn’t installed by a licensed professional.

 

4. All shipping charges on returns are non refundable.

 

5. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

 

Returning Small Parcel Items shipped via Ground Carrier – If you wish to return merchandise that was delivered by standard shipping, via ground carrier, Connecticut Lighting Centers will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization for the product(s). Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer also pays for return shipping on exchanges.

 

Returning Large, Oversized Items shipped via Freight Carrier – If you wish to return merchandise that was delivered by freight carrier, Connecticut Lighting Centers will make arrangements to pick up the product. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer also pays for return shipping on exchanges.

 

Returning White Glove Orders – If you wish to return merchandise that was a White Glove Delivery, please contact Connecticut Lighting Centers. We will make arrangements in order to process the return. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer also pays for return shipping on exchanges.

 

WEB ORDERS - DAMAGED AND DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE

1. If you have received any damaged or defective products, contact Connecticut Lighting Centers. Contact us at (860) 578-1948 or email us at, [email protected] within 3 business days and we will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization. Our web order customer service hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. We will confirm the Returns Good Authorization within 2 business days, Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.

 

2. If you refuse your package due to damage, please call us immediately.

 

3. Date and sign the delivery receipt. If you notice, “Damage” write damage on the delivery receipt.

 

4. If an item is sent back as damaged or defective but is found to be in good condition, you will incur a 25% restocking fees and be charged for any shipping fees.

 

5. Please note, we will not be responsible for reimbursement of damage to a product done by another person and/or company (i.e. electricians, contractors, etc.

 

6. Please note that the finishes and colors of many of the products you see online may differ in person since every person’s computer monitor differs from others. This is not considered a defective item.

 

7. Returnable items must arrive back in original condition. Products must be new, unused, unaltered, uninstalled, not previously laundered or assembled e.g. no cut or clipped wires, no contact with water.

 

8. No writing on the shipping carton must include all original packaging and accessories.

 

9. Manufactures who require buying in bulk/multiple quantities must be returned in the same quantity they were sold in.

 

10. May be asked to submit photos.

 

11. Please allow us 7-14 days from the receipt to issue a charge credit.
